Peek Inside What Goes Into An Oscar…
Our friends in L.A. had the chance to attend one of the glamorous celebrity Oscar gifting suites this week and get a first hand look at what goes inside those glitzy swag bags. These gifting suites provide high-end products, clothing, jewelry and services for Oscar-nominated stars to pick and choose from to later use on the red carpet of the award show. No wonder nominees always say, “it’s just good to be nominated.”
L.A. personality Pat Prescott attended the Secret Room Events gifting suite that featured dozens of products including skin care lines, hand-made jewelry, clothing and especially beauty products to help those celebrities look their best on the red carpet. Pat didn’t leave empty handed either, picking up some swag herself. We could really get used to this celebrity lifestyle.

The emotions surrounding his controversial remarks about President Obama may still be fresh in many people’s minds (including those of ESPN and Fox & Friends), but it’s not enough to keep Hank Williams Jr. cooped up inside. The country music legend has announced he’s gathering together some “rowdy friends” getting back on the road for a 16-date tour, which will kick off March 3 in St. Augustine, Florida. More dates may be added soon.

For the first time since March 2002, the Academy Awards will not be held at the Kodak Theatre. The actual venue isn’t changing, only the name.

Last night, ABC’s Nightline got an exclusive, rare look behind the doors of the Chinese factories that manufacture all of the Apple computer products that we love so much. It’s an eye-opening look at what life is like for the poor Chinese workers that assemble your beloved iPhone, iPad and all of the other devices that have become such a part of many of our lives.Watch the exclusive video reports

At a show in Amherst, MA country star Miranda Lambert took a sign from the crowd that read “Take Notes Chris Brown,” held it up and said, “Nothing else needs to be said tonight, ladies and gentlemen.” She then went into a performance of her single “Gunpowder and Lead,” a song about fighting back against an abusive partner with the chorus, “I’m gonna show him what little girls are made of/Gunpowder and lead.”
This isn’t the first time Miranda has made her feelings about Chris known. She issued a critique after his GRAMMY performance via Twitter, saying, “And Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl…Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”

Lawyers for country duo Sugarland are stating that fans injured or killed by a stage collapse while awaiting the band’s performance at the Indiana Stage Fair last year are at least partially to blame, according to the AP. The statement comes in response to a civil lawsuit filed last week.
How does that sit with the band’s fans? If the Twitter response so far today is any indication, not too well.
