Craig Morgan Makes Billboard Top Five With “This Ole Boy” [Last.fm Trends]

The sixth album from Craig Morgan, This Ole Boy, hit the top five of Billboard‘s Top Country Albums chart recently, a new landmark for the Tennessee musician.

That achievement marks his best chart debut yet — and it sets him up for a successful year ahead. How has This Ole Boy sized up against his older material? Our friends at Last.fm Trends take a look.

In his latest top weekly tracks chart on Last.fm, Morgan’s album is best represented at number five with the title track, listened to by 583 listeners last week.

The top four places are taken up with tracks such as “Redneck Yacht Club” (1,390 listeners) and “That’s What I Love About Sunday (1,130 listeners) — both from his 2005 album My Kind Of Livin’ which is currently his most popular album among Last.fm listeners, with 764,314 scrobbles (plays).

This Ole Boy has seen 6,828 scrobbles in just a week and will most likely continue to climb Morgan’s charts — though more tracks from the album will need to start taking up the top spots in his top weekly tracks chart. One thing is for certain is that his total scrobble count of 1,808,190 should well surpass 2,000,000 in the coming months.
